Our Story

Welcome to Hidden Forest, where we take pride in growing all of our products on our five-acre property, in a completely natural environment with no herbicides or pesticides. You can take comfort in knowing that what you purchase from Hidden Forest is grown naturally and made right here by hand. We have lived on our property for the past 12 years and have been committed to keeping the land as chemically free as possible.

The path that led us to develop Hidden Forest and its products was a gradual one. I started to suffer from skin problems including eczema which developed on my old feet. I tried several different creams prescribed by my GP, and while they helped a bit, nothing seemed to get rid of it. This led to me researching natural ways to tackle the problem. I stumbled across multiple articles outlining the wonders of Plantain Salve. It was by sheer luck that I was already growing Plantain in my garden. I began making Plantain Salve and I was amazed at how effective it was, within two weeks my feet were back to normal. Applying the Salve twice a day seemed to produce excellent results quite rapidly, although you could use it more often if desired as Plantain is safe to use.

In the course of researching natural remedies, I discovered the wonderful benefits of Comfrey Salve. As I already grew a lot of Comfrey plants in my garden as a Nitrogen fixer as well as food for our chickens, it was a natural progression to start making Comfrey Salve. After sharing my salves amongst family and friends and getting such positive feedback, I decided to start offering some for sale to others who might find them of great benefit.
